Skipper’s Log — today’s water in four notes

A skipper’s day is a line of quiet decisions: read the breeze, pick the entry, mind the reef, time the return. Here’s how that feels onboard.

  1. Pre-departure safety briefing with lifejackets on the dock
    Dock • Briefing & fits

    Cast-off Briefing

Fit vests, match sizes, walk the deck. We share the day’s wind window and how we’ll ride the first swell lines out of the harbor.

    Helm • Waypoints set

    Waypoints & Trim

We set a course that hugs calm water, then trim for comfort. The bow writes a neat line; the wake settles into a gentle rhythm.

Captain’s Q&A — simple answers from the helm

No paperwork talk — just what guests ask most. Tap to open.

Can we swim during the ride?

Yes — we pause at safe pockets picked for the day’s wind and clarity. Ladders go down first, engine goes neutral, and the deckhand stays at the stern.

  • Lifejackets available for confident float time.
  • Skippers keep a 50–100 m watch radius around swimmers.
What if the weather changes?

We trim the plan — closer coves, shorter hops, or earlier return. Calm-first policy means the captain may adjust the route at any time.

There is always a quiet option inside the lee of the shore.

Is music allowed on board?

Low-volume playlists are welcome. We keep levels below conversation so other crews — and the shoreline — hear mostly the sea.

How do you price fuel?

Fuel is built into your time window. If you extend, the skipper quotes extra fuel before we continue — no surprises.

Do you have child sizes for vests?

Yes, from toddler to adult XXL. We fit everyone at the dock and keep spares aboard.

Can we bring food?

Absolutely. Soft bags only, please. We provide chilled water; glass bottles are discouraged for deck safety.

Blue Ethics — seamanship & care

A few lines we keep on every ride — for wildlife, neighbors, and clean decks.

Sea Kindness

We idle at distance around dolphins, turtles, and feeding birds. Spotting is part of the fun — chasing is not.

Min distance

Quiet Water

No-wake zones are respected like runway rules. Shorelines are for homes, not engines.

No-wake adherence

Local Respect

We hire and train locally, share dock space politely, and leave room for fishers to work.

Local crew share

No Trace Deck

Waste stays secured until shore. Single-use plastics discouraged; towels and cups return to bins after the ride.

Waste sorted ashore

We keep these lines simple so they’re easy to follow — and easy to pass on to young crew members discovering the sea.

Harbor Signals — the water we share

Simple courtesies that keep docks friendly and coves calm.

No-Wake Near Homes

Idle inside marked zones. Our wake is our signature — keep it gentle.

Vests for Young Crew

Children wear fitted jackets anytime the deck is in motion.

Wildlife Distance

We watch from afar. No chasing, circling, or loud approaches.

Radio Courtesy

Keep channels clear for harbor calls; music stays below conversation.
